Welcome to The Academy! We're Amanda and Dwain Henderson, the owners of The Academy, and we're excited to share a bit about our journey with you. Amanda is passionate about early childhood development and education, holding a bachelor's degree in early childhood education administration and a master's degree in early childhood education. Her academic journey has deepened her understanding of child development, learning processes, and effective educational administration techniques.

Our story began in North Pole, Alaska, where The Academy was formerly known as Henderson Academy, serving 72 students and their families. This experience was instrumental in shaping our educational approach. After Dwain retired from the Air Force, completing 21 years of service, we decided to relocate to Amanda's birthplace, Tennessee, drawn by its natural beauty and ideal family environment, much like Alaska. We are excited to come back to Alaska and benefit the children and community. We are thrilled that you have chosen us to be a part of your child's early childhood education journey at The Academy.
